Doramis Rivera (Dora) is a Nurse Practitioner at Hyper Healing with a bachelor’s degree in nursing (RN-BSN) with honors at National University College.
Doramis Rivera, FNP, grew up in Havana, Cuba. She studied Medicine at Havana University, Enrique Cabrera Hospital, and graduated in June 1996 with a medical doctor degree (MD). Nine years later, in 2005, she graduated with honors as an Anesthesiology and Reanimation specialist at “Hermanos Ameijeiras” Hospital at Havana University. In addition, her graduation thesis was published in a respected Mexican medical journal.
In 2007, she escaped from the communist Cuban regime to the US, where she reunited with her husband, a political refugee, after four years of forced separation. First, she lived in Miami with her family, but the dream to continue with her health professional career was not possible. Three years later, they moved to Tampa, finding the opportunity to grow professionally. She became a registered nurse (RN-ASN) with honors and a proud American Citizen simultaneously in 2012.
At that time, she started to work as an RN in the home health field. Three years later, she completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing (RN-BSN) with honors at National University College. In 2019, she decided to continue toward the Master of Science in nursing at the prestigious Walden University of Minnesota. She finally achieved her dream of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certified by the Florida Board of Nursing and the AANP in 2021.
Doramis lives in the Forest Hills neighborhood in Tampa with her family, including her husband, mother, and two loved daughters. She is a Cuban medical doctor (FMG) and a skillful Nurse practitioner (FNP) with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. She grew up in a Hispanic and Catholic family. Therefore, she enjoys helping people feel better, improving the quality of life of her patients, and leaving a better legacy for current and future generations
